Privacy Policy
Last updated 12 August 2026
VibeHub is a public directory of software built with AI assistance. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. It is written to be read, not to be impenetrable.
What we collect
Information you give us
- Account details. Your email address, name, avatar, and an identifier from the provider you signed in with. VibeHub has no passwords — sign-in is handled entirely by Google or GitHub, so there is no password here to store, leak, or reset.
- Profile information. Username, display name, bio, location, avatar, banner, and any links you choose to add. All of this is public by design.
- Content you publish. Apps, descriptions, images, comments, ratings, and collections. Public unless you mark an app as a draft or a collection as private.
Information collected automatically
- Page views and outbound clicks on app pages, so creators can see how their work is performing.
- Approximate country, device type, and referring site, derived at the moment of the request.
We do not store your IP address. To count unique visitors without identifying anyone, the IP address and user agent are combined with a salt that changes daily and then hashed. The result cannot be reversed into an IP address, and because the salt rotates, the same visitor is not linkable across days.
What we do not do
- No advertising, and no sale or rental of personal data.
- No third-party analytics or tracking scripts.
- No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
- No profiling and no automated decisions about you.
Cookies
VibeHub sets one cookie: a session cookie that keeps you signed in. It is strictly necessary for authentication, and there is no cookie banner because there is nothing optional to consent to. Signing out clears it.
Who processes your data
We use a small number of infrastructure providers, each acting on our instructions:
- Cloudflare — hosting, content delivery, and network security.
- Neon — the PostgreSQL database, hosted in the European Union.
- Google and GitHub — sign-in is handled by whichever you choose. They confirm who you are and share your email address, name, and avatar. Your password stays with them and is never sent to us.
How long we keep it
- Account and published content — until you delete it or ask us to delete your account.
- Analytics events — retained in raw form for 90 days, then kept only as anonymous daily totals.
- Moderation records — kept after an account is removed, so decisions about abuse remain reviewable.
Your rights
If you are in the UK, EU, or another region with comparable law, you have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, export it, object to processing, and complain to your data protection authority.
Much of this you can do yourself: edit your profile in settings, and edit or delete any app from your dashboard. For anything else, including deleting your account entirely, email hello@cloudrf.xyz. We aim to respond within 30 days.
Children
VibeHub is not intended for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect their data, and will delete such an account if we learn of one.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will update the date above and note the change on the site. Continuing to use VibeHub after a change means you accept the revised policy.
